Kelly Preston Guests on Medium
March 24th, 2008 by admin
Kelly Preston is joining Medium for a four episode arc, beginning Monday, April 14, 10-11:00 pm.
Her first episode is called “Partners In Crime,” where she plays Meghan Doyle, an attractive venture capitalist who likes what she sees when Joe Dubois (Jake Weber) makes a presentation on his new solar power-based invention to her investment firm. Her decision to independently fund and become business partners with Joe ultimately creates tension in his marriage to Allison (Emmy winner Patricia Arquette).
“We’re thrilled to have Kelly join us for the final episodes of Season 4,” said Executive Producer Glenn Gordon Caron. “For the role of Meghan Doyle, a venture capitalist who decides to underwrite Joe, we needed an actress who exuded both intelligence and sexuality. Someone who could stand toe-to-toe with Patricia and Jake, and credibly create chaos in a household and a marriage that is as strong as any on television.”
Paranormal State Comes to DVD
March 19th, 2008 by admin
Paranormal State - Season 1 is coming out on DVD but when is as big as mystery as Ryan investigates on the show. According to Amazon, you won’t see this set until the end of April. But A&E, who makes the video, has it listed for a March 25th release.
Either way, it’s the full first season of the series but there don’t appear to be any extras on the set which is odd.
Still, for those of you, like me, who may have missed an episode here and there, it’s the best way to catch up and see them all again and in order!
The CW Counts to 13
March 17th, 2008 by admin
The CW announced a new reality / horror TV series called “13” which will premiere in the summer of 2008.
The show’s executive producers are Jay Bienstock (“Survivor,” “The Apprentice”) and Ghost House Pictures’ Sam Raimi (the “Spider-Man” films, “The Evil Dead” films) and Robert Tapert, (“The Evil Dead” films, “The Grudge” films). Ghost House Pictures’ Joe Drake and Nathan Kahane will produce.
“This series is the first to take the horror movie into the reality world,” said Ostroff. “The action takes contestants on a journey with challenges and games designed to frighten them along the way. Similar to horror films, the challenges will play into our deepest fears and anxieties and will reveal things the contestants never knew about themselves.”
What worries me from her comments is that it sounds just like “Fear Factor” which, to me, isn’t horror movie based. Does anyone remember that reality show where the people had to find a killer on an island? Now THAT was spooky and if “13″ is more like that then they’ll have a winner on their hands.
More News on the Ghost Whisperer Comic
March 13th, 2008 by admin
Fans of Ghost Whisperer may not be able to communicate with the dead, but come March they will get to see more ghosts who are stuck between earth and the afterlife. That’s because IDW Publishing (www.idwpublishing.com) is presenting a five-issue monthly comic series that spins out of the hit CBS television show starring Jennifer Love Hewitt as Melinda Gordon, the medium who helps ghosts cross over. The all-new comic series was written by Ghost Whisperer TV show writers Carrie Smith and Becca Smith and have art by Elena Casagrande, who also did the art for IDW Publishing’s Star Trek Alien Spotlight: Orions.
“Our storyline is going to be written by people who are well aware of the overall story, as well as what is going to happen in the show that the fans don’t even know about yet,” says Tom Waltz, the series editor. “So the storyline is true to series without spoiling anything that is yet to come.”
The comics fit in after Season 2 and before Season 3 and, as in the show, Melinda spends her days and nights helping earthbound spirits cross into the Light. But in this series Melinda gets more than she bargained for when she comes face-to-face with Osiris, Egyptian God of the Dead, who wants the souls for himself.
